PhD Candidate

Hello! I am Amanda, AKA blondie or manners.  I am originally from Iowa and went to undergrad at the University of Dubuque. I began at UCONN in the fall of 2017 and joined the Goldhamer lab. In the Goldhamer lab, I am using transcriptomics, lineage-tracing, and functional assays in FOP mice to determine whether progenitors in addition to FAPs are causal cells of heterotopic ossification in FOP. I also manage and maintain the Flow Cytometry Core on campus. When not doing science, I can often be found golfing with my husband or cuddling my fur-baby!
